Daytime English

The main object of the course is to teach you how to speak, regardless of your level.

When you learn English, you want to speak a lot and immediately. But instead of free and natural chatter you have to learn the grammar rules and read long texts, you have dictation and exercises and as a result you get the feeling of being endlessly tortured by the cramming.

Unfortunately, you cannot do without grammar, texts and exercises! Mastering a foreign language is impossible without the careful polishing of all the speaking skills, and inevitably there will be a lack of thoroughness and system of knowledge.

Our school offers both an alternative and economical method of learning English. The programme offers a serious study of all the language aspects such as grammar, reading, writing, aural speech perception and spoken language twice a week. In addition, there is a bonus in the form of a lesson consisting of only speaking practise once a week. A third of this programme is devoted to intensive speech practise. The Workshop system, so popular in the British language schools, is used at the lessons. You can not only obtain and improve your knowledge but also practise everything you have learnt. If you are a good student, you have the opportunity to show off your skills. But if English remains an unassailable fortress, with the help of people like us in a comfortable and fascinating atmosphere you will be able to overcome the notorious language barrier!

The first stage of training encourages the forming of spontaneous response skills to comments, the ability to be a good conversationalist in familiar situations, and the ability to express your own thoughts in simple but literate language with beautiful pronunciation.


The programme includes:
  • forming a grammar base;
  • forming an active vocabulary;
  • improving pronunciation.
The task of the programme at the advanced knowledge levels is the forming of free conversation in an unknown or controversial context, full and figurative expression of thoughts with the aim of participating in discussions, defending your point of view, and also the recognition of the different nuances, styles and accents of speech.

To perform these tasks the programme contains:

 

  • the profound study of grammar;
  • the enrichment and enlargement of vocabulary;
  • the development of speech fluency skills;
  • familiarization with different language dialects and their stylistics.

In the end you obtain not only profound and systematic language knowledge but also speech fluency, which will remain the same even without constant practise.
